Professional Summary

Starting in 1967, my first exposure to Martial Arts was Judo, which I practiced for almost 30 years of my life. I took part in several Judo tournaments and championships both locally and internationally. In 1973, I was invited to take part in a Judo Scholarship at the Academia Nazionale Italiana from September until March of 1974, after which I was given the go ahead to start teaching Judo in 1974.
I first experienced Aikido during a Martial Arts festival here in Malta and immediately began practicing it after being introduced to David Rubens Sensei in 1992. I started teaching Aikido in Malta in 1996 after achieving Shodan Rank from David Rubens Sensei and remained affiliated with his dojo until 2004.
During an international Aikido seminar, I was introduced to Kyōichi Inoue Sensei and Saburo Takashima Sensei in 2005 and ever since our Seishinkan Dojo has been affiliated with Takashima sensei’s Sengenkan dojo. I have attended and organised several national and international seminars with Takashima sensei and have recently been awarded my 6th Dan in Aikido
